Guys like Quincy Jones come around only once every generation. A very limited class of producers along the lines of Duke Ellington, and maybe for the hip-hop nation (it's a little early to tell), Dr. Dre. These guys define genres of music and at the same time change them. Case in point, he's produced both Frank Sinatra & Michael Jackson. He produced Thriller...end of story. This great mix put together by the scholarly DJ Spinna is a great start, and hopefully there's more to come, as this guy's work is that deep.
